Romans 2

Dominique Young

đź“– Background

In Chapter 2, Paul continues building his case that all humanity—both Gentile and Jew—is in need of salvation. While Chapter 1 focused on the overt unrighteousness of the Gentiles, Chapter 2 turns the lens on the Jews, who might have assumed their heritage and possession of the Law made them righteous. Paul emphasizes that God's judgment is impartial, based on truth and deeds rather than ethnicity or outward observance of the Law. The chapter challenges moral superiority and highlights the importance of a transformed heart over external religion.
